In most cases, yes. We check your switch boxes first, then choose dimmers and keypads that work with the wiring you have. In a few older boxes a particular room may need a different approach, and we will tell you plainly.
Sometimes. Some systems have their own, and some devices work through Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa. We recommend the simplest option that stays reliable, and explain what it does.
Yes. Manual control stays, and scenes are added on top, so the house works for guests, kids and anyone who does not want an app.
No. Voice is optional. Everything works from switches, keypads and the app as a baseline.
We favor local control where possible, so it is faster and keeps working if the internet drops, and we note anything that depends on the cloud.
Matter is a standard that helps devices from different brands work together, and Thread is a network type many of them use. They are useful, not required. We use them where they make a setup simpler or more reliable.
Use the one your household already uses. We build a dependable lighting and climate base first, then connect it to your preferred app and voice assistant.
A few rooms of lighting can be done in a day or two. A whole-home project with shades and climate takes longer, and we give you a realistic schedule with the written scope. At the end you get a walkthrough and a reference sheet listing your scenes and schedules.
